We lived and traveled full time in this coach for 3 years, Dec. 2007 through Dec 2010.

On December 24, 2010 (Christmas Eve) we moved into a house in the San Antonio area in order to be closer to, and spend more time with, our two grandsons.  Moving into a house on Christmas Eve is not our favorite way to spend Christmas Eve!  :))  Since we now have a house we will not be traveling as much as before so we no longer need as large and nice RV.

The original owners of the coach are a nice retired couple from Seguin, Texas.

There are a lot of pictures of all areas inside and outside of the MH farther down.

This is a great motorhome for extended or full time travel.  It would also make a great rig for tailgating at sporting events.  The 7.5KW generator is powerful enough to operate all the appliances at the same time, both air conditioners, microwave, TV's, etc.

Tires:
Tires are in very good condition with excellent tread.  The tires are kept covered when we are parked to shield them from the sun & elements.  There is no checking or cracking on any of the tires.  The front tires were new in August 2010 and the four rear tires were new in July 2007.  The rear tires still have 60% to 70% of the tread left on them (11/32nds of the original 16/32nds tread)   Front tires have less than 1000 miles on them and the rear tires have about 22,000 miles.

Engine & drive train

The engine is a  330 horse power Cummins with an Allison 6 speed transmission.  There is an exhaust brake to assist with braking down hills or mountains.  There is a 150 gallon fuel tank instead of the standard 100 gallon fuel tank.  My average fuel mileage for the three years we had owned this MH, traveling 20,685 miles in all kinds of terrain, including the mountains of Colorado one summer is 8.38MPG.  An spreadsheet is available detailing the mileage.

The 150 gallon fuel tank allowed me to easily and comfortably travel about 900 miles, using about 100 gallons of fuel, between needing to fill up.  This leaves an ample reserve of 50 gallons to run the generator or to continue driving further if need be.  I generally did not allow the fuel to go that low before refueling, preferring to keep the top half of the tank filled.  The extended distance allowed me to travel to an area or city with lower fuel prices rather than needing to fill up with high priced fuel.

Tiffin Motorhomes in Red Bay, AL, built this MH on a chassis originally intended for the more expensive Allegro Bus.   In 2003 the Allegro Bus were built with the Cummins 330 engine and 150 gallon fuel tank.  Most 2003 Phaetons were manufactured with a Caterpillar engine and a 100 gallon fuel tank.

The MH has been regularly serviced and very well maintained.  A maintenance and repair log is available.
